I would understand but he prefers mystery.
I would trust but suspicion surfaces.
I long to share the little joys of life with him
But the big ones are eating away at him.

Participating partners in complicity
create a contract where two figures meet
on a balance sheet, swapping receipts
for interest and intercourse
While negotiating a turnover of assets.
An unwritten self-preservation reservation
is a mandatory obligation to appreciate -
contingent on beneficial depreciation
for saving face.
Gambling on curiosity overextends
credit on credibility
not to mention credulity
with no guarantees of reciprocity.
Is honesty a saving grace ?
