When you were very tiny

of honey coloured silk that
shine when brushed and float
around your head like a halo.
I love your snub plump little nose
with its fine sprinkle of freckles

My hours are filled with duty.
My days are diary bound.
The pressure of a week
is like a clock that’s over wound.
So much I should be doing
if the time could just be found.
